Java Dancer Coffee Malang

Hello Ngalam! (re:Malang)
It’s been a long time since the last time I visited Malang, and now I finally had a little escape to Malang. Usually, I went to Malang with my friends who lived there, but now I had to “guide” someone to go around Malang. It’s a bit tricky to find a café in Malang that is not only sell their ambience but actually have a great food *don’t let instagram photos fool you guys*. So we went to a safe yet very recommended option which is Java Dancer Coffee.

Java Dancer Coffee is located at Jl. Kahuripan no.12, Malang City. The café is located in front of Kartika Kusuma Hotel, the place was a little bit small and covered with leaves so you’ll miss it if you’re not being cautious.

Like I said before, the place was quite small but it was soooo cozy. The building itself is a Javanese traditional Joglo house and made from wood. They covered the front side with a very thick vines and inside the café they have a very traditional javanese interior with some lighting. We visited the café at night, and they gave me a very serene-romantic ambience, what a perfect atmosphere for a couple.

Java Dancer Coffee serves so many coffee varieties, such as single origin coffee, peaberry single origin coffee, aged single origin, and kopi luwak. And for those of you who’s not drinking coffee, they serve specialty tea and chocolate.

They also serve a variety of snacks and desserts to enjoy with the coffee. Because I visited the café at night and it’s quite cold in Malang I decided to order a hot cafe latte (around 29k) and pisang goreng original (15k)

Cafe Latte IDR 29K

Pisang Goreng Original IDR 15K

Their coffee is one of the best I’ve tasted in Malang, although I order a house blend, but it has a quite distinct flavor, not too heavy and bitter, the caffe latte was creamy and did not leave any sour taste. And their pisang goreng (fried banana) was also good. Rather than deep-fried, they pan-fried the bananas without any batter, so it looks like more into a grilled banana than fried. It was a humble comfort food, but their bananas was already sweet so it caramelized itself, it didn’t need any additional sugar or condiment *but a little touch of cinnamon would make it better*.

Overall, I lovelovelove spending time in Java Dancer Coffee. Just to relax after a long day exploring Malang and Batu, have a little chat with your friends and families, or if you want to have a me-time, this place is perfect for you. The coffee is good, the food is delicious, the ambience is cozy and relaxing. What’s not to love?
